Black Country Communion are an impressively powerful rock supergroup. Looking at the list of artists each member has worked with spans a variety of rock genres from bluesy rock to progressive metal. The group started after Glenn Hughes, former Black Sabbath bassist, began playing with Joe Bonamassa a virtuoso solo guitarist. After a year of working together the pair brought in Jason Bonham, son of infamous Zeppelin drummer John Bonham. Not satisfied just playing as a trio the band was completed with the addition of keyboardist Derek Sherinian, who has previously recorded with Slash, Alice Cooper, Billy Idol and Kiss amongst others. After releasing their debut album in 2010 Black Country Communion are already back with a fresh new offering rather aptly titled ‘2’.
