The story of Cinderella the band is actually a little analogous the the beloved fairytale. Formed in the 1980s in Philadelphia, Cinderella were one of a handful of bands who were making serious waves in the heavy metal and glam rock scene. Cinderella tickets were hard to come by and the band was selling out arenas to fans who wanted to hear all of their hit singles. When the 90s hit, suddenly fewer people were interested in the dynamic glam rock that be been so popular the decade before. Everything switched to grunge music and people with sour grapes for hearts. Cinderella had some problem selling albums, and also, lead singer Tom Keifer had serious health issues with his vocal chords, that prevented him from touring live. All seemed lost until the 2010 Cinderella reunion. While some of their fans moved on, Cinderella discovered that there was still enough people who liked their music to hit the road one more time.
