Ghost: The Musical

Ghost: The Musical is a definitive love story. Now adapted for the stage a little over two decades after its original film release starring the late, great Patrick Swayze, Ghost returns with its touching storyline.

After Sam is murdered whilst walking home with his girlfriend Molly. He is left trapped in Limbo as a ghost knowing that Molly is now in danger. Through the help of a medium Sam tries to get in contact with Molly in a bid to protect her.

In 1990 Ghost was released and quickly became a huge hit both in the States and the U.K. winning Best Original Screenplay and Best Supporting Actress for Whoopi Goldberg at the Academy Awards. The film has been made forever memorable by the infamous potter’s wheel scene made even more well known by its constant recreation across television. A wonderful story in its own right, Ghost: The Musical is brought even further forward by its director Matthew Warchus. Warchus is an incredibly recognised figure having worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company, English National Opera and across the West End. He has received numerous nominations for his Shakespeare productions and has received Tony and Drama Desk awards for his directing in Broadway.

Ghost is a classic 90s film that everybody will remember - be it for the love story, Patrick Swayze or the pottery - its just one of those films. With Matthew Warchus directing it is without doubt a tale that will translate incredibly to the stage and be an audience favourite in the West End.
