Global Gathering tickets
There’s a reason you own several items of neon lycra clothing - it’s for times like the last weekend in July when some of the leading artists in electronic music are brought together for Global Gathering. Since it began in 2001 the festival has become easily one of the greatest celebrations of everything trance, house, electronica and dubstep in the U.K. Set to the charming countryside backdrop at Long Marston Airfield in Warwickshire the location shares its fame with the birthplace of William Shakespeare, Stratford-upon-Avon, just a quick drive down the road. Global is though much more about partying, music and dancing than penning a few famous plays. For several years now the festival has gained a reputation of being able to attract the biggest names around. For this reason Global has crowd numbers up 50,000 making the atmosphere literally huge. Its not only the established stars like David Guetta and Armin van Buuren that are invited to play but up and coming artists from the underground scene for those people who tend to shy away from more commercial pursuits.

Having performed miracles for electronic music fans at home Godskitchen took their night around the world echoing this success in every country they visited and rightly making them a global name for dance music. It would have been a crime for the promoters to not have brought this success to the festival environment and really make something massive or, quite literally, a global gathering. The global scale has been taken even further now that the festival itself is taken on the road and each year is held in various countries from South Korea and Russia to Poland and the Ukraine.
2010’s Global Gathering saw yet thousands more party goers descend on the countryside dressed for fun (think fetish robots and Super Mario) probably scaring a few locals along the way. With headliners such as Faithless, Dizzy Rascal, Chase and Status and Carl Cox, its no surprise that Global was sold out, indeed as it has done every single year!
2011 is going to be yet another two days of thumping beats, marathon length like dance sessions and probably very little sleep. Sounds good?
