Hop Farm Festival is an absolutely gem amongst the myriad festivals on offer in the U.K. Everything about Hop Farm tells of what a true festival should be. It was started by Vince Power, the man behind Mean Fiddler, in 2008 and had one clear direction - to provide a festival that was completely geared towards fans, ignoring any branding or sponsorship activities, to give the best experience possible.
2010 saw the Hop Farm Festival really find its feet on the festival circuit. With its line-up of Bob Dylan, Pete Doherty and Mumford & Sons amongst many others, Hop Farm became the talking point of festival goers across the U.K. Now the festival is certain to build upon last year’s success and one look at the line-up for 2011 it’ll scare you it’s so good!
The Eagles, Brian Ferry, Brandon Flowers, Death Cab For Cutie, The Human League, The Duke Spirit...and that’s just on Friday. Saturday boasts Morrissey, Lou Reed, Iggy & The Stooges, Patti Smith, Chrissie Hynde, Newton Faulkner, Graham Coxon and lots, lots more. You’ll be hard pressed to find another festival that can bring in artists such as Hope Farm does.
