The Arizona four piece Jimmy Eat World have become one of the best known bands in alternative rock since their inception in 1993. Their catchy melodies and infectious vocals, mixed with some pretty ballsy guitar work has given the group an unmistakable sound. Friends since childhood, Jimmy Eat World originally started as a punk project but soon developed into their current direction following influence from other bands such as Fugazi and Sunny Day Real Estate.

After releasing a few albums, all the way fine tuning their melodic hardcore sound, Jimmy Eat World produced a stormer of a rock album, Bleed American. The record, with tracks ‘Salt, Sweat, Sugar’ and ‘The Middle’ is a hugely significant one in recent rock history. Not only was it confirmed platinum by the RIAA, it also represented the forefront of the emo-hardcore movement into the mainstream gaining the band, and indeed others, much more attention. The reputation they have afforded themselves has also defined them as a live act - one of those bands that has all the perfect songs to call upon at a concert.

In September 2010 the band released their latest album, Invented. Receiving rave reviews from critics both at home and abroad the record, for many, is Jimmy Eat World back on top form. The band announced soon after that tickets would be on sale for the album’s tour and they have since travelled relentlessly around the world.
