Stars of the British boy band scene, JLS first came into the limelight after finishing second on hit talent show The X Factor in 2008. Whilst many of the finalists from previous X Factor’s have ended up, lets be honest, relatively unheard of, JLS have excelled in charming the British public and winning fans.

JLS (standing for Jack the Lad Swing) came together originally as UFO, meeting in London. The boys changed their name whilst auditioning for X Factor and were obvious contenders to beat off all competition during the show. Having already sold well over a million records JLS are one of the most exciting acts in the U.K. at the moment. Their talents are certainly matched by their looks - something that many of the fans like in particular! Although they were unable to top the X Factor rankings they have hit the U.K. charts with unstoppable force. Their first album, JLS, went straight in at number 1, becoming one of the fastest selling albums of 2009. Not many bands can boast as well to have Jay-Z in their fan base. After becoming the first X Factor act to win a BRIT Award in 2010, taking British Breakthrough and Best British Single, the infamous rapper commented on their performance that night saying he believed they could be as big as N Sync.
