John Barrowman has become a popular household name in Britain and it seems there is no end to this guy’s talent. Some might know him best for his roles in Doctor Who and Torchwood as well as many other television appearances but it is his work in music and theatre for which he has gained huge respect. Barrowman, originally from Scotland but spent most of his life in the States, first took to the stage in 1989 when he performed in Anything Goes at the Prince Edward Theatre. Since then he has appeared in Phantom of the Opera, Hair, Miss Saigon and Beauty and the Beast to name a few. His career in musicals displayed not just his acting skills but his vocal abilities as well and it was only fitting that Barrowman take some time off the stage to get himself into the studio every now and then.
Barrowman has not only featured on recordings of classic theatre tunes but he has also recorded and released several solo albums. Singing a wide range of covers and originals Barrowman has gained a large fan base through his music with two top 40 albums and a top 20 single under his belt. His live shows are the true fans’ favourite though. Barrowman is not only a singer he is an all round entertainer and through his experiences in film, television, in the studio and on stage he has a lot of stories to tell and a few hilarious anecdotes here and there. Although you’re guaranteed some great laughs he’ll also treat you to some of his best work from all the songs he’s sung throughout his career
